1.Shower and save all that water!
In many households, water is not always lukewarm, this is alright when it comes to washing hands, however, no one enjoys taking a shower in a water that feels like it was shipped from the sun or from Antarctica ! Therefore, let the water run hot or cold, and do not let this water flow into the drain. Collect it in a container and use it to cook, for example, when you are boiling your tea water.
2.Using the excessive bathing water for gardening.
I bathe my son often in a baby bath, filling in the large tub with water. For this purpose I need only 10 liters of water. That’s adequate enough of water to clean a baby in his/her beginning years. After I give my baby a thorough wash, I use the remaining water for gardening purposes !
3.Saving every drop with a flow of water.
About 13 liters of water are required per day for brushing your teeth, washing hands or shaving, you can save ample amounts of water during this process every day. For example, while applying a soap, or shaving gel, do not keep the water flowing from the faucet, especially not at a high pressure. With the faucet working, the water quantity is not regulated, so this is a complete No-No as large amounts of water are wasted!. This tip is especially useful if you have children in the household, children tend to turn the faucet on thoughtlessly until it stops. So this tip does not only enable you to save water, but also makes it possible for you to save on your costs, plus your bathroom is a little less flooded !
You can also choose to stop by a nearby hardware store or a hypermarket and purchase a water pressure reducing valve. With this, the water jet retains its full volume but gives out water with lesser pressure ! it’s as simple as it gets !

The next time you boil a dozen eggs, save the water and pour it on your garden and plants, or better keep it for drinking purposes ! The water becomes enriched with calcium when the eggs are cooked and boiling the water just makes it safer to drink ( since tap water in the UAE is not usually used for drinking). Plus, why pour water down the sink when you can reuse it for something, right?
